• Literacy: Find non-fiction text features (such as charts, glossary, table of contents, etc.) in a variety of non-fiction books
• Science – First lesson on the Digestive System = kicking it old school with Bill Nye
• Listen to “Front Desk”
• Silent Reading

Looking Ahead:

• Tomorrow is our skating field trip. We leave right after attendance.
  • PLEASE BRING:
    • ice skates or $6 cash to rent them
    • a helmet (bike helmet works fine)
    • clothing warm enough to be on the ice for an hour
  • DO NOT BRING:
    • any padding or other hockey/sports equipment (exceptions: helmet, gloves)
    • money for the vending machines (you are not allowed to use them)
• Friday: Black Excellence Day
• Next Monday: Yukon Dan!!! (Ms. H. will need a few student volunteers to come at 7:15 that day to help Dan set up. If your child has your permission to do this and would like to do so, please send me an email to let me know.)

I’ve brought him in several times over the years to gold pan, etc. with the Grade 5s and this year the PAC is generously funding this, along with a grant from MineralsEd BC. It’s an A-MA-ZING experience. I’ll take photos and put them on the blog.
